It was super easy to schedule a date somewhere that would be an interesting experience even if the date didn't work out well. There are lots of cool activities, bars, and restaurants in NYC compared to Seattle. Women in NYC are more likely to be well-educated, speak other languages, travel to other countries, have interesting jobs, etc. In NYC, I was only limited by how much free time I had, so on some weeks I would go on a new date every single evening. In Seattle, I could go on maybe 1-2 promising dates a week. Pros: - I got 10-15 matches a day with selective swiping versus 2-3 a day in Seattle - Having so many matches makes it easy to schedule first dates.
Therefore, I took the plunge and moved to NYC. I have lived in Seattle for a few years and while I could get dates and had some relationships, it always felt like playing the game on hard mode.
